About Lionbeats
Founded in 2009 by Yadvinder Singh (Jagie), our family business has been dedicated to capturing the beauty and emotions of weddings from diverse cultures, including Indian, Muslim, and Fijian Indian. Our personalised approach to photography and videography allows us to celebrate the traditions and unique stories of each event. Jagie’s passion and skill laid the foundation for a business built on trust, creativity, and heartfelt storytelling.
In 2023, Jiwan Singh took over the leadership of the company. With 15+ years of experience in wedding photography and being part of the team from the beginning, Jiwan brings not only expertise but also a deep passion for capturing meaningful moments. His dedication continues to guide our team as we grow and adapt while staying true to the values that started it all.
We’ve been fortunate to capture weddings across New Zealand—from Queenstown to Auckland—and internationally in Fiji, Australia, and Malaysia. We’re especially honoured to have documented some of the largest Southeast Asian weddings in New Zealand, and we strive to approach each wedding or event with the same care and attention to detail.
With years of experience and a dedicated team, our goal is simple: to capture the magic of your wedding or event in a way that feels authentic and timeless.
Beyond Weddings
Our work extends beyond weddings, and we’ve been privileged to be part of many memorable events. Over the years, we’ve had the honour of capturing concerts featuring world-renowned artists like Diljit Dosanjh, Sidhu Moose Wala, A.R. Rahman, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan (twice), Gurdas Mann, Yesudas, Chitra, Mika Singh, Atif Aslam, Sonu Nigam, Babbu Mann, Shreya Ghoshal, Sukhwinder Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Jazzy B, KK, Shweta Mohan, Siddharth Malhotra, Govinda, Dharmendra, Superwoman, the Nooran Sisters, Bobby Deol, Ravinder Grewal, and many more.
We’ve also been lucky to cover a variety of other events, starting with corporate occasions such as those hosted by the India New Zealand Business Council and featuring notable figures like former Prime Ministers Rt Hon John Key and Rt Hon Bill English. We’ve worked on beauty pageants, including the annual Miss India New Zealand competition, large-scale dance competitions like High School Rockerz, and countless Arangetrams that honour the artistry and dedication of classical talents.
